Maven are proud to have delivered the surveying and civil engineering for New Zealand’s largest solar farm (as of 2025) for Elecnor New Zealand. Maven utilised LiDAR drones and GNSS to survey the site, and completed the civil design and flood modelling for the solar farm infrastructure. The Tauhei Solar Farm has a generation capacity of 202 MWp, capable of providing enough electricity to power up to 35,000 homes! Stretched over 184 hectares, the site is just south west of Te Aroha in the Waikato region.
Maven are experienced in design and construction of solar farms and associated infrastructure of all sizes. We believe this project is a big step in the journey towards truly renewable energy supply for New Zealand.
