The site is located in Kawakawa bay near the shore. Proposed development at 25 Ferndale Drive, Kawakawa. This site relates to Stages 1 and 2 of the development (77 lots) total, with the additional circa 35 lots (contained within Stage 3) subject to further resource consent, which will be lodged separately in the future.
The site Involves the designing of a Public road and 3 waters, with SW discharging to the proposed wetland located within site. Although the site is not within the SMAF overlay, discharge is to a stream, and stream hydrology mitigation is considered as per the NDC. This was through on-lot stormwater tanks (45,000L minimum) which provide for reuse and detention. there is no Wastwater gravity lines within the site, Vacuum system (FLOVAC) was used to service the lots.
Partial EPA has been granted (SW) while waiting for Wastwater nearly to get approved. EW has been completed and SW construction has started around the site.
The Main contractors are Midland Construction.
