Office Administrator – Hamilton

We are looking for a competent administrator who is super organised and well versed in Xero to manage all aspects of administration for our Waikato Regional Manager / Hamilton office. This role is currently 30 hours per week though there is some flexibility in terms of the number of hours.

You will be responsible for the delivery of consistent and dependable administrative support across the business. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing business where you can really make your mark!

As an experienced Administrator, you will be proficient in the MS Microsoft suite, particularly Excel as well as with Xero / invoicing. Experience in creating business proposals would also be preferable.


Key Focus & Responsibilities

  • Operations / Admin support
  • Xero / invoicing
  • Document control and workflow in office (checking procedures followed)
  • Invoicing
  • General accounting tasks / filing
  • Recruitment assistance / coordination
  • Maintaining client and workflow database
  • Welcoming visitors / answer office phone
  • Stationery orders, watering plants, kitchen tidying and general housekeeping duties
  • Producing documents / reports as required
  • Meeting minutes
  • Organising adhoc events, printing etc.

About You

You must be well presented with outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal. You will need to be mature, self-motivated, confident in dealing with challenges and proactive in thinking ahead to anticipate needs. You’ll be a big picture thinker, able to see what needs doing without being asked and have a strong sense of ownership, while not being afraid to ask questions.

Your time management skills will be excellent, and you will be able to juggle and prioritise your workload while ensuring everyone is kept up to date. You must be computer savvy, capable with Microsoft Office and able to quickly learn systems and processes.

Previous experience / proficiency with Xero is essential. You will have NZ experience and the right to work in NZ.
