About the role
Maven is seeking a full-time Civil Engineer to assist with our ever-growing workload and team in the Bay of Plenty. A minimum of 5 years’ land development experience in New Zealand is required.
Working closely with our Senior Engineers you will be responsible for carrying out Engineering design for projects, preparing drawings in accordance with relevant standards and, where necessary, provide information to draughting staff to produce ‘finished’ drawings/plans etc. Performing engineering calculations, analysis, and design; produce engineering reports and plans. Preparation of tender documents and assist with the assessment of tenders.
YYour role will also include carrying out site investigations, field tests etc and reporting findings. Close liaison with your Team Leader / Directors and the proactive management of deadlines/targets are both essential.

Requirements:
- Relevant tertiary education (BE, NZDE, BEngtech).
- 5+ years’ land development experience in New Zealand.
- Experience with AutoCAD/Civil3D/12D.
- Stormwater Modelling experience desirable.
- Understanding construction contracts specifically NZS3910
- A high standard of written and verbal communication skills.
- A confident/ professional approach whilst working onsite.
- Comfortable working out on site conducting inspections of work and resolution of issues.
