Maven Associates were engaged to provide civil engineering services, a peer review of previously designed civil works and a challenge to finalise the contractual agreement between the contractor and client.
We worked closely with renowned architects Ignite to ensure finished level coordination was revisited to find practical solutions on the go as the construction of stage one of five is already well under way. Another challenge of this project is to help put together a cost share agreement between the client and the neighbouring property owner to construct a common boundary public access road.
With the building contractor following the civil contractor and foundations starting in March 2018, civil works are due to start on stage two in the near future.
Maven is carrying out site observation and quality control, working closely with the civil contractor, client and Queenstown Lakes District Council to provide timeous response and instruction to all construction related queries within the scope of the civil contract.
